Fall Sports are underway. Get out and see a game. Enjoy the fall
weather before the cold weather arrives.
There are a lot of High School and College sporting events to enjoy.

your enjoyment.

High school and College fall sports season is almost here. I have some
schedules posted and I am trying to post more as soon as I get them. I
am looking forward to photographing many fall events. I will try to
post many of these on this site for your enjoyment. You may want to
look at the Vintage Plus section. I have some nice photos of Glocester
Ma. and a whale watch I went on.

Randolph Union High School 2008 Graduation pictures are elsewhere on
this site. I am sorry if I did not get a photo of you. Dad, Mom
perhaps you have a good shot you would like to add to the collection.
Just e-mail your 2 or 3 good shots to me and I will add them to this
collection.
Important Note; By emailing me the photo, you are giving me the right
to use the photo on my website and I may publish the photo either in
print or on a DVD that I may sell.
If I get enough photos and cover just about the whole senior class, I
may put a DVD together and offer it for sale. The more I think about
this the better it sounds. Besides Graduation photos, photos of events
in the school year would also be helpful. Plays, concerts, sports
events, etc. If this interest you, please email photos you think would
be of interest.

School is out and the sports I like are done till fall. I enjoyed the
high school sports I have seen this past school year. I have seen many
games and individual performances that added excitement to the seasons.
I have many photos of the events on this site. This summer I hope to
work on the archives with sports photos from the past and the vintage
section with photos of events of the past.
I wish to thank all the high school seniors who have provided us sports
entertainment for the past few years. I wish them the best of luck in
the future.
Also I wish to thank all of you who have visited this site. Comments
from viewers are one of the reasons I carry on. Advertisers and
sponsors would be very helpful to expand this site and upgrade
equipment.

The following teams went down to defeat in the quarter final rounds
held Saturday 06-08-08 were
Randolph Boys LaCrosse -- Randolph Boys Baseball -- South
Royalton Boys Baseball --Northfield Boys Baseball -- Rochester Boys
Baseball -- Whitcomb Girls Softball
The teams still playing are:
Chelsea Girls LaCrosse team who will host BFA on Tuesday June
10th.
Randolph Girls LaCrosse Team who will host Burr and Burton on Tuesday
June 10th.
Whitcomb Boys Baseball team will play at Black River Tuesday June 10th.
Rochester Girls Softball who will host Canaan Tuesday June 10th.
All games are at 4:30 PM
Congratulations to Holly Mugford from Randolph. She finished second in
the Vt. State Div II Track and Field Championships
in both Girls
Javelin and Girls Shot Put. Holly was Randolph's only represenative but
she had plenty of support from her coach, team members, and
family

Meets in the June 8th's Sunday Times Argus or Rutland Herald).
Congratulations to South Royalton who took home The Vermont State Div
III Boys and Girls crowns.

The spring sports season is almost over. I
have attended and photographed over 30 sporting events. The photos may
be viewed on other pages of this web site.
I have seen good coaches
and some not so good coaches. We had one visiting coach who set one of
the worst examples of sportsmanship I have ever seen. A call went
against the coach's team and the coach appealed to the umpires who
ruled
against the coach. The coach went back to the team spouting language
suitable of a drunken sailor. My apologies to drunken sailors. The
coach used many four letter words that I am sure the players have heard
before. However a coach should not be setting that kind of example. The
coach is in a position of leadership and should be teaching good
sportsmanship. As far as I am concerned the coach let down the team,
their parents, and their school.
On a better note there
are many local area teams that have made the playoffs. You may
see the schedules else where on this site. The Randolph and South
Royalton girls softball teams fell in the first round despite having
excellent teams. Other teams still in as of 06-06-08 are Whitcomb,
Randolph, Rochester, South Royalton, and Northfield Boys Baseball teams.

Girls softball teams. Chelsea, Sharon, and Randolph's Girls LaCrosse
teams
with Randolph Boys LaCrosse team.
Holly Mugford will be
Randolph's sole representative in the State Track Meet being held in
Windsor Saturday June 7th. She qualified in Shot Put and Javelin.
I do not know
how Whitcomb and South Royalton did but if they have any qualifiers
they will be competeing in Chester Vt. on Saturday also.
